This club offers two regulation eighteen hole courses The Dunes Course is more inland The front nine holes feature thick tree lines along both sides of the fairways Holes 10 through 15 play alongside the ocean You finish with the last holes heading back toward the clubhouse Golf Digest rated it as the 17th Best in State course for 1997 98 and GOLFWEEK ranked it 63rd among America s 100 Best Classical Courses for 1997 95th for 1998 and 99th for 1999 The Shore Course is named because it is more open and runs along the ocean Holes 1 through 4 have trees on both sides On holes 5 through 14 there are no trees so the wind becomes a major factor The signature hole is 13 on the Shore Course a par 4 with a slight dogleg left fairway and requiring an approach shot to a two tiered green Golf Digest rated it as the 13th Best in State course for 1997 98 Alister Mackenzie and Robert Hunter redesigned the Dunes Course in 1928 and Robert Bruce Harris redesigned the Shore Course in 1962
